About This Course

Hair is not simply a grooming task. For Black and mixed-race children, hair is bound up with identity, culture, confidence, belonging, heritage and emotional wellbeing. Carers who understand and confidently manage this area of care give children in their charge a foundation of dignity and self-worth that reaches far beyond the hair itself.

Crowned With Confidence is a complete, trauma-informed, culturally competent training programme designed for foster carers, adoptive parents, residential care staff and the agencies and local authorities that support them.
